Bronze began life in 2006, in a warehouse in San Francisco's then unfashionable Bayview District. Vocalist Robert Spector, Drummer Brian Hock(aka techno trickster C.L.A.W.S., formerly of seminal Goth/Electronic band, The Vanishing, who currently runs Squirrels on Film record label with DJ Solar Langevin) and Miles Friction, wielder of his one and only synth creation known as "The Box", create gritty, electronic, hypnotic sound puzzles and songs unlike any other band. Playing early shows alongside like-minded Bay Area weirdos such as Erase Errata, Oh Sees, Factrix, Death Sentence: Panda, Sam Flax, Apache, 16 Bitch Pile-Up and countless others from around the country and globe, Bronze have been a study in persistence, recording and releasing albums on RVNG Intl, Not Not Fun, and Burka For Everybody, and doing multiple U.S. and European tours. Their shows, which have been equally likely to take place at underground punk spaces, legendary San Francisco leather bar, The Eagle Tavern, or upscale Art Institutions(they've played both the Sf MOMA and New York's PS1) have attained a cult status among those who know. One longtime fan is former San Francisco scene svengali, John Dwyer of Oh Sees, who recorded Bronze for his "Live in San Francisco" lp series on Castle Face records, which was released in Spring 2016.
