François X is a French techno artist blending high-impact club energy with cinematic textures and the deep physicality of Black American electronic heritage. A key figure in modern club culture, he built his reputation at Concrete and Berghain.

A DJ and producer, François X embodies a creative philosophy rooted in duality: a reverence for the physicality of Black American dance music, combined with a futuristic European approach to sound design and performance. In 2011, he co-founded DEMENT3D, one of France’s most forward-thinking labels, celebrated for its genre-defying releases and ability to bridge underground club music with avant-garde aesthetics. His debut album, Irregular Passion (2018), solidified his reputation as a storyteller, weaving personal vulnerability into expansive soundscapes. François X has since collaborated with influential imprints such as MDR, Exhale, Fabric, and BPitch Control, proving his versatility and unwavering commitment to pushing his sonic identity.
